Yes, it is! When you create a new project, select the "Open Source" option, and specify the public repository of your project. Also, make sure to mention Translation.io in your public README file. Once these conditions are met, it will be our pleasure to offer you a free, unlimited account for life.

No, only translated keys are billed.

Yes, our customer service will ensure that you to get a 100% refund if you're not satisfied within the 90 days following your registration.

When you're actively developping an application or a website, you have a lot of text to translate on a day-to-day basis. But when your application stops evolving, the changes are less frequent. We think it would not be fair to charge you the same price for these projects.

When you freeze a project, you are only billed half the price but you can't synchronize or translate it anymore. You can freeze and unfreeze a project at any time.

Let's say you start the month with 1000 translated keys.
10 days later you translate 500 more keys, then freeze your project.

Billing details for that month:

1st day
  • Keys: 1000
  • Project status: active
  • Price/key: €0.01
  • Duration: 10 days

Computed cost:
1000 x €0.01 x 10 / 30 = €3.33

10th day
  • Keys: 1500
  • Project status: frozen
  • Price/key: €0.005
  • Duration: 20 days

Computed cost:
1500 x €0.005 x 20 / 30 = €5.00

Total cost: €8.33
